Why paid messaging beats free.

No spam.

Charging per message means only real neighbors send real messages. No promoted posts, no political brigades, no lost-cat-of-the-week.

No account to send or receive.

Enter your email at checkout — Stripe collects it with your card. Recipients don't need an account either; every home already has a page.

Neighbors get paid to read.

Homeowners who claim their property earn 50% of the per-open rate. Messages actually get opened.

What you actually pay.

Recipient counts vary by neighborhood density. Radius = center point in miles. All prices below are worked from the same rate table used at checkout.

suburban

Lost dog

$30

0.25 mi radius · ~300 homes · $0.100/home

Small radius, tight block coverage. Best for time-sensitive alerts.

urban

Block party invite

$64

0.5 mi radius · ~800 homes · $0.080/home

Wider circle gets the whole street plus one over.

mixed

Local service ad

$210

2 mi radius · ~3,500 homes · $0.060/home

Full-neighborhood reach at the cheapest per-home rate.

Three steps.

1

Write your message.

Pick a category — lost pet, block party, safety alert, for sale, general. Add a subject and body. No sign-up.

2

Draw the radius.

Click a map to set the center. Tighter radius means lower cost and more targeted delivery.

3

Pay and send.

Enter email + card in Stripe's hosted checkout. The message fans out to every property in the radius within minutes.

Simple refund policy.

Cancel before the fanout runs. If you catch a mistake within a few minutes of paying and email us before the delivery cron ships, we refund the full amount.

Under-delivery credits. If the actual delivered count comes in below the pre-checkout estimate, we credit the difference back to the same card. You only pay for real reach.

Content pulled for safety. Messages flagged and pulled for harassment / illegal content are refunded in full even after send.

Common questions.

Do I need to sign up to send a message?+

No. Type your message, draw the radius, pay with a card. Stripe collects your email at checkout — that's your only account touchpoint. Bookmark the status page to track delivery.

How does the recipient see it?+

Every property in the radius has a page on HomeStoop already. Your message drops into that page's inbox. Claimed properties additionally get an email notification. Unclaimed properties just have a message waiting for whoever eventually claims them.

Can I stop a message after paying?+

Yes, if you catch it fast. Delivery fires every 2 minutes. Email us with your Stripe receipt and we cancel + refund if the fanout hasn't run yet.

What can I not send?+

No harassment, no political campaign spam, no scams, no illegal content. We reserve the right to pull a message and refund in full for cause. Real neighborhood needs — lost pets, block parties, safety alerts, garage sales, local service offers — all fine.

Why is this cheaper for a bigger radius?+

Bigger radius = fewer targeted alerts, more community broadcast. Per-home rates drop with radius to reflect the shift from personal reach to general awareness.

Who runs HomeStoop and where does the money go?+

HomeStoop is being built as a member-owned cooperative. Most platform revenue flows back to the homeowners and residents whose properties make up the network. Founders / operators take enough to run the platform. No exit, no ads-off-your-data business model.

Is my card safe?+

Yes. Payments run through Stripe — HomeStoop never sees your card number, only the confirmation that you paid. Same infrastructure used by millions of businesses.

Message your neighborhood.

Reach only the homes that matter. Pay only for the reach you use.
